Photographer Lisa Pitz

I recently had the pleasure of working with the talented photographer Lisa Pitz, who brought her unique eye and energy to a special shoot featuring the latest collection. Her ability to capture mood, texture, and movement truly brought the pieces to life.

Lisa took a moment to answer a few questions about herself, her creative process and her inspiration.

Name a color, a sound, and a place that best describes you.

Yellow. A color that represents light and warmth – and resurrection. No matter what happens, I try to see the light, the shining.

The sound of waves always accompanies me. I love the sea, its power and movement. And somehow it reflects me: sometimes calm, sometimes stormy, with ups and downs – but never still.

A quiet, deserted place in nature is my balance. At home, in a family of six, there's always something going on. I appreciate that, but sometimes I need silence. Places where I can breathe and ground myself – without distractions, simply in the moment.

How would you describe your photography?

I would describe my photography as a mix of documentary, artistic, and a bit of a snapshot. I love the real – the unposed, the raw, life in all its facets.

At the same time, I enjoy developing and designing concepts, playing with colors, and using light as a canvas. In my documentary work, too, it is important to me to portray life with an artistic quality.

For me, snapshots perfectly reflect life – the imperfect, the random, the moments in between. Sometimes chaotic, but precisely for that reason authentic. They capture moments that will never come again and make them tangible.

How did you get into photography/when did you hold your first camera?

I got my first analog camera when I was about eight years old. Back then, it was still a playful discovery, but my fascination with images remained. For a long time, photography took a back seat; my childlike creativity unfortunately remained hidden for various reasons. It wasn't until I got my first job that I bought a SLR camera and started taking photos again as a hobby. When I became a mother, the longing for photography grew stronger again. I wanted to capture these moments, this time – not only to preserve memories, but also as a creative outlet and a way to relax myself.

What are your favorite photography subjects?

My passion definitely lies in the fleeting essence of everyday family life – the genuine chaos, the special moments, and the deep relationships that make it so unique. I want to portray authentic childhood, the transformative journey of motherhood, and the intimate bond between mother and child.

I equally love subjects in nature – quiet, untouched places that allow space to breathe and feel. Colors and their compositions fascinate me.

Everything that harmonizes or creates unexpected contrasts attracts my eye and inspires my photography.

Yes, and fashion has indeed fascinated me since I was a child. I actually always wanted to study fashion design, and at least I've remained committed to working in this field again through photography.

What would a day look like wearing the ruffle pants/ruffle blouse?

Oh, I could probably spend every day in ruffle pants.

But spontaneously, I see myself starting the day with a cup of coffee on our terrace in our new home, so close to nature.

Doing a bit of creativity and work in the morning before picking up my kids – for a spontaneous bike ride to the Rhine with a picnic to enjoy the first warm days of spring.

What values guide you during your photo projects?

I attach great importance to creating a trusting and respectful environment in which feelings are recognized, respected, and acknowledged – especially in sensitive moments like the postpartum period. No one should feel uncomfortable or pressured into anything, especially not children. My goal is to create authentic and sensitive images that capture real emotions and preserve precious memories. In projects and collaborations with brands or companies, it is particularly important to me that not only style and design are convincing, but also that a careful approach to people and the environment is the focus. Sustainability plays a major role in this – both in my photographic work and in our own lives. I want to convey these values through my images.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Oh, I'm looking forward to so much this year! Especially spending the summer with my family up north again, realizing my first exhibition, and implementing creative projects. I'm also looking forward to all the wonderful people and families I'll be able to photograph, as well as a very special break in Spain—this time without family.

Thank you Lisa for this collection of the dreamiest photos. You truly find the raw, playful and special moments.
